Approach

Use Case Labs

From "we should do something with AI" to a ranked backlog and a first working prototype, in weeks not quarters.

The shift

Strategy at the top, paralysis at the middle. Most organisations have a list of AI ideas trapped in PowerPoint and no mechanism to ship the first one. The Lab format breaks the deadlock by combining facilitation, prioritisation, and prototyping in a single structured engagement.

What we do
01
Facilitate the unstuck

Structured workshops with Opportunity Canvases, cross-functional clustering, and explicit prioritisation criteria. We move 18 ideas to 8 themes to 3 candidates in two days.

02
Prototype the winner

The top-ranked use case becomes a working prototype within the engagement. Real tooling, real data (sanitised), real users testing it.

03
Hand off the rest

The remaining backlog is documented with owners, scoping notes, and KPIs, so the organisation can extend the work without us.

How we deliver
2 weeks

Compact Lab

1-day workshop plus 1 working prototype.

4 weeks

Standard Lab

2-day workshop, prioritised backlog, 1 prototype, governance handoff.

3 months

Lab Series

Four labs over a quarter, building cumulative momentum.

What clients leave with
  • A ranked, owner-mapped use case backlog
  • One working prototype, deployable
  • Documentation for extending the method internally
  • Photos, recordings, and a written readout for executive sign-off
Who this is for

Operating executives (COO, MD, BU Head) who need a P&L story this year and want a method, not a vendor.

Selected work: labs with a supply-chain services group and a compliance consultancy
